Maybe taking the royal blue drapes down and putting up a much lighter blue! Here is an idea for the cushions!

Brown/tan and blue look beautiful together. Look for pillows with those colors alternatively look for a contrasting color to add with the blue like yellow. A color wheel is really helpful to have in your decorating tool kit. It helps you see how colors look together. You can download from Internet or buy at an art store.

Thanks - i was thinking blue and white cushions and separate yellow cuhions for that pop of color. Wish i had photos i could post, but not available atm.
