What type of wood and stain are the floors? They are beautiful.

This is 5" wide #2 grade white oak flooring. It has a 50/50 stain of early american and special walnut on it by Minwax. We mixed the 2 stains on site and applied it with a buffer in order to get an even stain. The light and dark color you see is from the would being a #2 grade and not a select grade which would be very even in color.

These floors are truly amazing!!! Thank you for the detailed info. We are working on remodeling a 90's contemporary home and making it a bit more warm/"cottagy".
