What color is the counter top?

I think the wall color is fine, but I suggest painting the vanity and the mirror frame the same dark color. As for the painting, maybe no...too many frames is one small room. I know the ledge is narrow over the toilet, but how about some tall which is also reflected? Like the arrangement shown on the window ledge?

The wall color should compliment your art, but I think it is throwing things off due to its dark frame/colors/ size and shape. I would look for softer prints in a shade you want to use for the walls and I would go with a bird egg blue for a bit of a airy spa feel. [houzz=]

Thank you. I would change the art but my late grandmother painted it and I have no other space for it. It bring me much joy, otherwise I would agree.

My mother paints as well, so I understand. Too bad you can't find somewhere else for it though, as it doesn't do the art any justice there. I would lower the art then, paint the mirror's frame a dark brown, remove the delicate glass knobs and add something a bit less feminine and perhaps go with moss green walls and you could even paint out the cupboards in the same color or the brown you painted mirror frame - there should be a consistency in how everything relates to each other.

I think paint is a wonderful idea. Something dark like the blue you started would make the mirror and cabinet pop. Don't take decorating advice from kids. I think no matter what, you should look into changing the counter, whether with paint, or replacement. The extension over the toilet really dates it. I'd be cutting that sucker off.

Found a new home for the painting.

Hope you like the painting as much in it's new home. Now you have a blank canvas and I would find art you love and coordiante from there (but would go with a fairly light color and so many colors could be complimenty). If you haven't already starting looking at pictures, they may help. Good luck.

It depends on what kind of theme you're going for. If you're going for the normal and kid-friendly underwater themed bathroom I would do a teal or blue. If your going for modern I would do a green. Hope that advice helps.

This is the guest bath so no need for kid themes. They have their super hero bathroom. Just want something that looks nice and not to plain.

Love the stripes!

I am going to suggest horizontal stripes in tone-on-tone colors. Find two colors next to each other on a color swatch and use those two colors. The stripes will make the small space appear bigger.

Maybe a pumpkin color with a chocolate brown wall it will go well with the art work and your floor and maybe change the counter top . The mirror is fine to keep

It is all back to bone so I can start over with a blank slate. There is also no artwork. Will have to look for that.

Reframed another piece of grandma's art to go in the bathroom. Which wall or walls could I do stripes on?
