Happy New Year! Your kitchen looks awesome! I have a few different backsplash ideas but I was wondering, how would you describe your style? Are you looking for something clean and sleek or a funky accent?

Go with a classic and neutral backsplash as an option.

calacatta tiles would be awesome. 6 x 12.

I like the tile. For a cleaner look you can go with the stacked pattern (like in the photo above from the "Block House" and "Ownby design". A staggered look would look nice as well,,it all depends on what you like

Consider creating a bold, patterned accent wall. Do not be afraid of going full height up to the ceiling. Choose hand painted tiles in the same size and different pattern which will add modern twist and tie all existing elements together. Weaving horizontal wall with vertical space (floor) is essential.
I suggest to pick colors similar to the terrazzo floor (white, grey, beige) and from your cabinets (but lighter than dark espresso).

I like your choice...also like this color called "rain". I'd suggest doing the whole wall (to the ceiling) for maximum continuity / impact
