It's unfortunate that the windows by the fireplace cannot have drapery panels on each side of them because of the fireplace. Roman shades would work, but since you already have window coverings, let's work on other things for now. While the sailboat is quite fun, I'd like instead to see a colorful painting over the fireplace. Light orange and blue/green should work well with your sage furnitire and carpet. I like this picture for over your mantel. You can get it either framed or as a stretched canvas. The sailboat can go elsewhere on a shelf.
