I'd suggest a combination of adirondack chairs and benches that can be left along the fence wall if the firepit was big enough, but it looks like it might only be about 48" across, so I don't know that you'll be able to get that many folks around it anyway.

I'd suggest that you get enough chairs for your family to be comfortable, and pull the chairs away when you have guests so that more can stand around the firepit.

If you can tell me the outside diameter of the firepit, I can probably be more helpful. : )

Honestly I'd stick with the chairs, unless you fire pit is a controlled gas flame...which case I'd go for benches. With a natural fire you have to worry about smoke, excessive heat, etc. For the comfort of your guests, lighter weight chairs that allow for easy repositioning might be your best option. Good luck, and toast a marshmallow for me!

You can probably fit a bench along with three or four adirondack chairs. But honestly, everyone is going to grab the adirondacks. They are so comfortable.

Thanks all! It is five foot in diameter. Great ideas!

HI -- I like some chairs that have solid backs or cushions so my back ( butt te- he )doesn't get cold on the cool evenings.
