You don't say what you using for fertilizer or how often, but my guess is too much too often and too much nitrogen in the formula. Al

I've been using a basic liquid house/flowing plant formula about every 2 weeks while watering.

I stopped fertilizing all together about 3 weeks ago.

Well, I stopped all fertilizer and really really pruned back the foliage. I took off about 1/3 of the really large overgrown leaves covering the crowns and low and behold a pink bloom several days later, now a white and a yellow! One of each......looks like the poor little growing budlets just couldnt get enought light with all the green in the way. No more nitrogen for you but I'll water with a bloom booster in another week or so.

Well, a month later and the Gerberas are doing pretty darn well.

Quite a few flowers since my last post.

Question, though.....several flower buds seem to wither and die right at the base of the plant and others grow fine and bloom....what causes this?
