You can add vinegar at a tablespoon or so per gallon to tap water to make the water acidic if you don't wish to hassle with rainwater.

In nature blueberries are generally found in highly organic soils in low lying areas where soil moisture is regular if not constant. The result is blueberries have evolved to not produce root hairs which on other plants are the drinking and feeding roots. Thus, they are dependent upon constant moist and fertile as they are not efficient at using water or nutrients.

In other words I think since you have a fast soil you should be fine with a continual drip, just don't forget to feed them ;-)

Sounds good to me. I was thinking of using a 2 gallon container for supplying the water. Would you recommend adding a small amount of fertilizer to this water supply to continuously feed it also? Or just fertilize larger amounts less frequently?

I would recomend incorporating some Osmocote or similar controlled release fertilizer in the container soil (scratching in to the top inch or 2 is fine).

Beyond that fertilize as you normally would, but make sure to use a fert that contains *all* plant nutrients such as a fish/seaweed liquid fertilizer, not just NPK and a few of the minors.

Your shrubs will tell you if an adjustment is needed ;-)

Small amount of fert with each watering is nice but an infrequent flushing would be a good idea. Kind of like the 3 meals a day instead of gorging once a week concept. You might consider drippers on the end of your hose to slow the rate of flow. Just a couple quick thoughts on the subject. I second justaguys comments.
