seedling mat

I have to say, a seedling mat is a worthwhile investment. I got some heirloom seeds on Ebay and set them up in my seed trays. The broccoli sprouted no problem. But the tomatoes and peppers just sat there. I dragged out a seed warming mat I had gotten several years ago. It just didn't seem that warm when plugged in and I couldn't imagine it would make a difference. But boy oh boy, I put it under one of the trays and the seeds popped up in just a few days. I told hubby another one would sure be a nice Valentine's present, hint, hint, since seeds turn into plants, and plants are kind of something you give someone on Valentine's day.
