Leafy kales are heavy N feeders, whereas tomatoes need more Ca and PK. So one fertilizer will not work if you grow a variety of veggies.

what was your soil pH?

From my own research horse manure is the best balanced NPK and you can get it free!!Downside is some stinging nettle.Work it in the ground every fall and the spring garden will grow!PJ

For calcium - you might get some ground-up egg shells.

For magnesium - use some cheap epsom salts.

I think a good mag sulfate and lime dressing should be sufficient, given the soil test readings. That's why I was curious about the pH. It can be tied up in very acidic soils and may make a difference in what and how you apply the necessary nutrients. Lime can also affect the acidity/alk of the soil and you don't want to over-do that either and get the pH out of kilter. pH is sort of important and it should have been a value on the soil test they already have had done.
