Help with wood window color and trim

last modified: 14 years ago
We're renovating our 1930's tropical plantation house. Replacing all of the windows with wood windows (either Jeld-Wen or Eagle by Andersen), many which will have the horizontal simulated divided light grids similar to the original windows (these grids aren't shown in the kitchen computer rendering, but will also be found here). Flooring will be Brazilian cumaru wood. We need help deciding on the interior window color and trim. Here are our options:

1) Wood stained African mahogany windows with white painted window trim
2) Wood stained African mahogany windows with African mahogany stained window trim, or
3) White painted windows with white painted window trim

Also, if anyone has any thoughts on which window brand is better (Jeld-Wen vs Eagle) and also if the baseboards should be wood stained or painted white, we would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks for your help!
