I picked the summer house, I like the brightness of the room, it feels homely, the balcony area with table and chairs and seeing the sail boats moving about add a little activity going on-something to feel others are around. It gives a nice atmosphere.

Otter Coves' fireplace and stone wall which echos the stone outside are stunning. I love watching and listening to waves crashing against the rocks like a water symphony.

Otter cove, penthouse and tropical solved my current conundrum; trim color windows at a clients garden view house- Black trim just really, really frames it- thanks for the inspiration!

Love the tropical home-simplicity and neatness, the open sliding doors, something different than normal 'tropical' look..Great!

I agree with everything MOMOF5X wrote.

There is a serenity to Otter Cove colors and textures, and a feeling of tied-to-the-earth security with the stone wall - even when the stormy weather arrives

I agree with Talli Hardonang regarding the serenity and the importance of the stone wall in the Otter Cove bedroom. I added that room to my ideabook a while back and every time I go through the idea book, I stop at that picture and actually feel myself relaxing.

Not quite my usual thing but the drama of Otter Cove...wow.

If I were to choose the view it would be Otter Cove. I prefer the interior of Connecticut Home.

The Connecticut Home has the best view for all seasons in my opinion. The Tropical Home is amazing for a vacation but during Hurricane season, not so much.
The tropical, just and only for the view....
I picked the Radius House because it feels more intimate which is ideal for a bedroom.
now this was a tough one picked Otter Cove but love them all . Each of them had beautiful views and furnishings to be honest I wouldn't turn any of them down.
Although the tropical home is tempting, I choose the Otter Cove Res, cause it's dramatic and never the same.

Because I will never (in this life, anyway) wake up to a bedroom or a view like Tropical, or sleep "outdoors" in such comfort (sans bugs, of course), it has to be my choice. Such serenity and absence of restrictions are appealing to me. Otter is a close second only because it doesn't have the accessbility to outside.

WOW amazing options! I keep flipping from one to another, in this order
tropical, otter, summer, connecticut, radius and last the penthouse...even though i always thought I was a penthouse girl this one speaks the least to me!

Otter Cove has a very tranquil setting and I really love all the natural elements going on with this space. Tropical has a stunning view as well and the fact that you can walk right out and lounge in your own private bit of paradise is hard to beat.

Definitely the Radius home. Peaceful, serene, outdoors, and nature! What would you find in the morning? A deer greeting your day? Oh, yes! The ocean views are beautiful, but honestly...unless it's Hawaii, all you'll really see is fog. You'll only HEAR the ocean - not see it.

I love the privacy and tranquility of this view. I see serenity for miles, and love the fireplace!

Is Otter Cove Tony Starks house?
Had to pick the Penthouse as it reminds me of the wonderful view of Bristol and the Clifton Suspension Bridge we had in our last home.

Otter Cove is just spectacular! Peaceful, clean, simple, stone, water, wood, fire, amazing.

Our vote is for the tropical home: self-explanatory!

    Love the Otter Cove!

They are all quite lovely! I chose Radius because not everyone lives near the ocean, but most of us do have trees (perhaps not as beautiful as that location, but still very nice). If I could remodel my master bedroom, I would love a wall of windows looking across our wooded property. I also really like the wood-floor-ceiling treatment! Much more appealing than drywall :)

Otter Cove! Shannon, you are right about the black trim! My favorites here are the windows with minimal trim in black. Amazing. Headed for the paint store.

Otter Cove: the site lines are clear, with minimum vertical seams between the glass panels. The orientation of the room and exterior wall of windows allow the owner to arrange the interior (bed) to take advantage of this near seamless view. Great thought put into the design. No mistaking where the focus of this room and site lie.
Tropical Home second: I think this would have been closer, but still second, if the furniture had been arranged to take advantage of that beautiful view, maybe by orienting the bed and rug diagonally to the corner of the opened wall, and opening up the wall behind the dresser. Instead, the bed and rug are moved back along the wall, in parallel with the room's walls, seemingly to take advantage of being able to view the flatscreen tv hung on the wall over the dresser. It even suggests that the wall was extended to have a place to hang the tv, sacrificing the incredible view of the exterior surroundings.

I thought the Radius did the best job of balancing the outdoors with the indoors. I like how the soft colors mimic the light that filters under trees, and the use of finished wood contrasted with the bark on the trees outdoors. The space is open without feeling cold, and it has enough visual interest so it doesn't feel as if it takes second place to the view. It has such a lovely balance between the 2 spaces, they seem to flow together.

Loving the Tropical Home because there are really no breaks in the window pains. This room is really indoor and outdoor - you can enjoy both elements. Oh...and the view is AMAZING! I like the sleek design of the room all together!
Wow! I loved most of them--the best thru my eyes would be: Otter Cove and then the Radius.

VERY difficult to select just one but I was drawn to the coziness of the Summer House the most. :O)
I had a rough time deciding, but I ended up going with the tropical home. None of them were in rustic style, which is my first choice, but our vacation spot is Crete and I could just picture this bedroom being there :)

Otter Cove! Imagine falling asleep and waking up to the sound of the crashing surf! The view is simply amazing!

That's my cool, gray northern California Pacific coast. Can't be beat.

I agree lindaeb--that's why we are moving to the coast for our for-ever home! LOVE it!

If you need a designer look me up at bassett turn in gulfport
  • 14 years ago
I almost picked this one. then, I live across the street from the ocean. on a rough windy day there is salt sea spray covering everything. closing doors and windows does not help. door hinges are rusted fixtures, be prepared to change every year. the salt spray actually takes the paint off your house. constant upkeep. but guess what!!! I LOVE IT.

Otter Cove is just perfect. Tropical and Radius house are fabulous as well.

The natural elements and clean lines in the Otter Cove room seem to complement the view rather than compete with it. Hardwood floors, natural stone and glass give way to a spectacular view. Well done, Fulcrum.

Too many hard choices, but came down to Tropical just beating out Otter Cove. Am a sucker for a wak out water view!
I chose Otter Cove. But they all had great views. I love any of them with large, unobstructed windows. And sailboats are always amazing. But if you don't have a view, high definition photography is a great and uplifting alternative to being there. That is why I love photography.
