I got it at a shop in Baltimore that specializes in vintage mid-century furniture - Home Anthology. (www.homeanthology.com) I bought it the day it arrived - I think you have to move quickly on this type of table. But if there are similar shops in your area, they may keep a lookout for you.

Love it! I was hoping it was still being made, but then researched it today and realized it was vintage.

I own the same table-- mine is teak and the outer panels fold over and then slide under the circular top. Size goes from 51" to 71"; is yours the same?
I bought mine in the late 1970's and have enjoyed using it all these many years. I am currently looking for something similar for my son and his wife.

i adore the round table look...i so need a table 60 inches wide...does anyone know if you can place a piece of marble or granite on top of a base?my glass guy said not to do a glass top that big b/c the table might tip..hmmmm, i want to do this as cheaply as possible as i already have a round white table, only 42 wide..thoughts, opinions questions?????many thanks,jules

Hi Margie3925- I searched all over last summer and was discouraged by prices on the "fancy" models that self-store leaves. But finally purchased 58" (opens to 76") table at: www.mahoganyandmore.com, for well under $2,000, including delivery and set-up. Many nice choices! The only difference is that the leaves are quarter-circle arcs that attach around the perimeter. Not as convenient as my old teak table, but quite lovely and functional. Once I started searching for "Large Round Tables expandable" I was able to locate quite a few options. But this mahogany site had great prices and excellent customer service. Good luck!

Hi Marie86: The name "Flip Flap" table was the model description from the Scandinavian teak furniture company that sold it back in the 1970's; I doubt if they are still around. So Googling for "Flip Flap" is not likely to find a table for you, unless you come across the rare vintage one that's still around. As I described, above, when I finally stopped searching for "Flip Flap" and instead searched for a generic description: "Large Round Tables Expandable", that's how I found lots of options!
