Overwintering Fruit Trees

Hello:

I'd like to plant a variety of dwarf fruit trees in containers. I want to make sure that I can properly overwinter them. I live in Northern California (Zone 9) and generally the lowest temperatures we experience is around freezing and this occurs during the evening, during the day it will be warmer. If I put my fruit trees into an unheated greenhouse, will this be sufficient to keep my trees alive?

Thanks for your advice
