That fruit has aborted. Are there any male flowers on your vine? Is your vine perhaps Burpee's Sweet Burpless Hybrid?

A number of GW members have been reporting failure with this variety because Burpee didn't make it clear that it is a gynoecious variety that needs another variety to pollinate.

Oh the burpee burpless hybrid. Lots of female blooms that withered away, as shown in your picture.

OP- your female blooms did not get pollinated. In the future, you'll need pollinators like bees, or you need to hand pollinate them yourself. It's better to grow multiple cucumber plants to increase the odds of pollination.

Agree it is just fruit abortion. The "a white prickly fuzzy type thing" is a baby cuke.

Any number of possible causes as it is due to stress - excess heat, insufficient or excess water due to heavy rains, lack of nutrients, disease, root damage, high winds, etc. etc.

I should have mentioned that I've already eaten 12 or so cucumbers from this plant. The male blooms also turned white and fuzzy. Like a little nob of white fuzziness.

It seems that they all just turned like this in the last week or so.

My plants are doing this as well. my plants have not produced any fruit. I have plenty of bees buzzing around. I was hoping to find out why my yellow flowers are turning white and what these fuzzy things are growing on the plant?
