how do i get rid of air bubbles

hi,i have made several castings using 1 portlalnd cement and 3 sharp sand in a latex mold.the problem i am having is that some of my casts come out perfect and some contain small holes (pitting).i have agitated the mold by shaking it,but as i say some of them come out with the holes.can anyone suggest a fool proof way of getting good results every time.

the cast i am making is a buddha face hanging wall plaque,i will include a photo when i can figure out how to upload images to the site.

here's a link for one of my finished castings,this is a good quality one i did,but some of them come out pitted.
