It looks lovely. Did you plant in every few weeks succession, or are they all coming ripe at the same time?
How are you planning on preserving it? Freezing, canning? I haven't had a lot of success with either, so I didn't grow it this year. It's one of those crops that are so abundant in this area, I can get them for .10 per ear.

I was gonna freeze however yesterday my mom found my grandmothers canning kit with full directions.

These are the errors I've made:

Corn plants too close.

Rows may be to close (2')

Planted 7 days apart instead of 14.

.10 cents? Jeez. Corn everywhere here...Illinois you know. Never less than 4 dollars a dozen. It's now 5 a dozen.

Glad it helped. I didn't realize until last year that some of the safety rules have changed, so you should always make sure you are following current instructions (I don't do much canning). There is a lot of preserving info on the Harvest forum too.

I'll just have to eat double for you Heather. Try, try and try again. I've been grafting for about five years (conifers and japanese maple, ginkgo only) and I'm finally figuring out the little things (seed provence might be a reason for your non-success this year).

An update:

We canned last night and picked all that was left and got 5 jars! LOL Still I'll be eating some good food this winter.

It was lucky that the first three ears I harvested were full of kernels LOL. Still four more blocks to go!
