Question for Next Year

I don't see why gourd flowers couldn't be edible. I noticed one year that my bottle gourds had tons of blooms on them and I got a lot of bottle gourds that year. A few years ago I gathered a lot of squash blossoms and that started me thinking about gourd blossoms. Anyone have any experience harvesting gourd blossoms and using them like squash blossoms for food?

If you mean the gourds with the white blooms ,I do not think they would taste very good.
To me, the plant and leaves have a burnt smell when torn or crushed and I would think that the bloom may be the same.

I do not know about the gourd plants that have yellow blooms.

They're in the same family as summer squash, zucchini, pumpkin, etc. so I would think they would be completely edible and very delicious. Just try it.
