Life Changes...

At this point in our lives, we are pondering the thought of giving up on the traditional life that we have had instilled in us since birth. You know, a house, the cars, raising the kids, well the kids are grown and gone, the cars are just a machine to get me around, and the house, well, it is becoming the heavy anchor around our necks.

With 7 acres of maintenence and gardens galore, we are now thinking that RVing full time might just be the answer.

We just purchased our second motorhome last week and I have left my nowhere job. DH is retired and living the dream on SS & Pension and being diagnosed with prostrate cancer last fall, we are thinking, why the hell not!

There is a VA medical center in every state.

As I have been researching this very possible move, I came across this web blog and just had to share with you, that the possibilities abound for anyone anywhere!!

And I can still think about working on my garden junk!!

If my father had lived, my parents had planned to do the same thing as you! They figured that being mobile would suit them better and they were the type that would just go for a ride for the fun of it.

My prayers will go with you on the road. My favorite scripture says, "Adam fell that man might be and man is that he might have joy."

Go have joy!

Yes, I think we're supposed to enjoy our lives as much as possible. Follow your dreams, if that property is too much of a burden, then unload it, and don't worry .... be happy :-)

Best of luck to you and your hubby, tell us about your travels! If hubby & I hadn't gotten blessed with 2 little grandkids in 2007 & 2008, we would be doing the same thing right now probably. Can't stand to be away from them long now though, we went from being retired to being grandparents who miss retirement LOL. ~tenderlee

YOU GO!!! My DH and I have "mobile" friends and they love the lifestyle! Best of luck to your hubby too in his treatments, etc. Do what makes you happy! Houses are great, but as you say, they can be a huge hindrance as well. Put those travelin' shoes on!

They also have Botanical gardens in every state don't they. You can visit them I believe there is a National Forest in Florida that allow s you to camp free if you help them.
You have plenty of options and I am sure some young couple would love to buy the 7 acres.
Prayers and peace
