Fall Green Beans

This is the first year I have planted Fall Green Beans. Since I lost my first planting, I didn't get started picking green beans until the end of July. I have been picking beans almost every week since. I put in three plantings. I used the double row method.

My question is this. It has been ideal temperatures highs in the 75-88 and lows in the 55-65 for almost a month. We have got many timely rains. I only watered these beans three times. Once after I planted and two other times.

Production has been great! I am blown away at how much they are producing. I planted Top Crop. Are fall planted beans always this good? Or is it just a good year? If they are are always this good, I will be planting like this every year. I have more time in late summer and early fall to pick. I am too busy picking tomatoes in July to worry about picking green beans.

What are your findings?
