This is Capri Cork, Cor-Terra rubber cork ( http://www.capricork.com/?page_id=146). The rubber makes the tile more resilient. As far as how the install looks, when you install any cork or rubber product that is a tile - you have to have a GREAT installer that knows what he/she is doing. The tiles must acclimate and be installed with very tight seams. The rubber allows you to almost overlap and pinch the seams together which gives you a nice tight seam.

Thanks for the response! I will look into this. How difficult would this be to do on my own? I'm fairly handy, careful and will Google just about anything.

You might want to check with the manufacturer and see if you need a Certified Installer to maintain a warranty.
