All the feed and seed and farm stores in the south seem to have loose Seventop turnip seed. Plus a lot of the on line and mail order seed companies carry it. Note that the quality of the greens is not in my opinion as good as the Purple Top/White Globe. It is very useful tho, where the edible turnips are attacked by cabbage root maggots.

Here is a link that might be useful: Seventop

Faarmerdilla, i agree 100 % purple top is best in zone 8. ps have you got a good beet variety for greens ? bill

Tall Top Early Wonder.

dumb question, but is that the same as early wonder ? bill tks.

Usually, when listed just as Early Wonder, it is the tall top version. There is a short top version, while relatively rare, if you really want beet greens it may be prudent to look specifically for tall top. While the tall top is a good table beet, it has much more foliage than most beets.

ok , thanks for info. bill
