Hello everyone, I'm completely new to gardening and have "newbie" question. Someone gave me a young (approximately 2yr old) avocado plant grown from seed which was never pruned. It stands approximately 3 feet tall and rather than have one trunk it has three, approximately equal diameter (about 5/8") which all start within about an inch of the soil and run the whole height of the tree. My question is- should I prune two of the three stalks or just let it grow as is? Also, if it makes any difference, I wouldn't consider any one of the stalks to be dominant over the others.
