I agree that the green is good but would make it the light green color above the windows so the room doesn't get so dark. Yes painting the table white would be good as would adding a rug. You might consider replacing the upper cabinet doors next to the sink with glass doors. Wouldn't hurt to change out the knobs or paint them black to match the appliances. Could add some accessories like chair pads, pictures above the desk and on the desk side of the cabinet to bring in more shades of green.

cwater Nice kitchen I agree as well with the hardware going back and the table but I would probably go black on table top to add some accent and leave legs wood tone like they are. Chairs would add some fabric with blacks and some other color that would pop. Few glass doors would add a nice touch too . Add a bigger charming light fixture and your good to go. Easy fixes to already inviting kitchen.

I had not thought about painting the table & chairs....was just thinking a new set! I will try painting them first. What do you think about painting the legs green and leaving the top more natural like the one in the picture Betsy posted?

Are ya'll (yes, I'm from Oklahoma...lol) talking a rug under the table or a runner in front of the sink?

Any suggestions on a light fixture?

cwater I like that combination of the legs being a different color see it in alot of magazines as well and maybe if some cushions were added the added colors in them would really bring more accent to the kitchen , Little changes can go along way. There is that paint now that has primer right in it so the extra step is gone so its much easier. I just did a sideboard and it was easy . Good luck your kitchen is a easy fix since it already has a nice welcoming look to it.

Forgot I would do the runner in front of the sink before using one under the table. Not sure if you have children or not but for one chairs move so easy on tile and then of course there is drinks spilled or food dropped. I would never put a carpet under the kitchen table . From a design point their pretty and can make a kitchen look so nice but the practical side if this table is used alot for eating well in my opinion I wouldn't do it We had carpet in our dining room / living rm and it was a nightmare when we had partys or kids were here. We ripped year old carpet out of the entire space and put in vintage hardwood and then added a stick on fuzzy things to bottoms of chairs so we didn't hear the screeching when chairs were moved in and out. We also lived in a Condo then so was being nice to our neighbors below us.
