New back yard

Ok, so in late summer of 2008 I completely cleared out the overgrown natural area in our back yard (except for the bigger trees), tilled, and sowed fescue grass seed. That winter, I had a soil test done which is attached. As you can see, I broke my yard up into 3 sections, front yard, back yard, and new back yard. The ph on the new back yard (which was naturally wooded until I got a hold of it) was 4.6. Obviously VERY acidic. The recommendation was to add 105 lbs of lime per 1000 sq ft. So in April of 2009 I added 50 lbs of that lime and then another 50 lbs in late September. I definitely had some thin spots which I overseeded last fall. Now that spring is here I am still seeing some thin spots. Is this normal and am I just going to have to play this game for a few years until things get established?

I plan to get another soil test done soon now that the lime has had a chance to work its way into the soil but just thought I would post here to see what you guys thought. You put so much time and effort into a lawn, it is heartbreaking for it to be thin in areas. This area is shaded by the mature trees I left standing but sees alot of sun (especially morning and evening sun).

Thanks!

Bryan
