GE silicone ?

This may be a silly question, but..... when you gardeners mention using GE silicone, are you telling me that you use the bigger tubes that go in a chalking gun? This is the only size I can find. Is there a smaller size ?

    Calico,
    That's what I use.

I use the smaller tube because it's easier for me to handle. I get it at Walmart.

I'm glad someone ask. That's what I was wondering too....lol...

I use the smaller tube also. I get it at the local home store. The man at the store had recommended it to me. He said his wife used it and is a crafter. It has worked for me for everything so far.

I'm glad you asked too. I had forgotten what was used on the bottle bug eyes. Hot glue doesn't work in this heat. My eyeballs fell off.

I use both, but a lot of times I use the smaller tubes cause they are easier to handle. I get mine at both Lowe's and Home Depot. The small tube is next to the large caulking tubes and is blue. I love this stuff too!
OMG kathyjb....your eyeballs bell off????? LOLOLO

I use the large size with a caulking gun, the Walmart brand. I use the big one because I use so much of it for so many different things now....great stuff! My DH just noticed the grouping of initials of our last name on the wall, two are inside empty picture frames(all of which is inside a larger empty picture frame), too small for hooks. He finally asked me how I hung them up...I said "silicone...duh!" Yep, I glued them on my painted wall with silicone:) It's okay, I'm the one who repairs the damaged walls and repaints! I'm never afraid to hang anything on the wall as long as I have joint compound and leftover paint :) I wish I had a pic, but my camera died.

I love what you've done with your initial. Sure made me want to make one, but DH would freak out if I were to glue something to the wall.

I buy the small tube at Wal Mart. Same stuff...smaller tube.

Yes, they fell off into the birdbath. And one of my bugs lost a, well, um, it lost it's bottom. I had a colored glass bead on it's bum and it fell into the water too.

Jason, just do a search on bottle bugs here. I don't know how to put a link to the places, but you'll find what your looking for I'm sure.

Are you saying you can get GE Silicone II for doors and windows in a small tube? Or is it a different kind?
