Family room walls are great for both wall decals and wall canvases. You might not want to choose colors that are too vibrant, but there are plenty of softer decals and canvases out there that would look great on that wall. And one other great thing about the decals - they're easy to put up and take down without damaging the wall at all!

Thanks! By wall canvas, do you mean something that comes in three or four canvases that together make a picture and hang near each other?

HI -- I don't like seeing many things trying to hang on these type of walls . This is a good wall for a wallpaper in a suttle mural vertical type pattern. Like the ones that have the trees or branches - or a texture. Then just have one interesting thing on it ,like a faux deer head in a wood look or a white one depending on the paper. You could also have many of your family photos copied in B&W in lots of sizes and apply them with wallpaper paste in random order overlapping here and there to fill the wall and then when done and dry, apply a thin tea type stain ora thin white wash to tone it down and give it an antiqued or foggy shadowed look.. Or go the other way with painted horizontal wide ( 1 or 2 ft.) stripe. Any way have fun with it because it is the family room but keep it simple. These curved walls look bad if they are junked up too much. There are lots of ideas on Houzz for feature walls.

That could be one way to do it; however, I was thinking more along the lines of larger canvases in one piece. The right ones take up a fair amount of space, but not too much, and they look great. Some examples would be on this page: http://www.lot26.com/s/Canvas-Wall-Hangings. A large one that might fit perfectly on that wall would be the "Family Rules" canvas. It's easy to put up and would work well with that color.
