Home projects are a lot of fun - and work! Congratulations and best of luck! When I look at the pictures I am struck by the following:

1. The steering mechanism and extended frame seem to indicate a very wide turing circle. Will your 79 year old mother and more youthful operators be able to negotiate turns at the end of a row without a lot of backing? How will it cut around hedges and trees?

2. Will the same motor be used to power both the wheels and blade? If so how will you split power and control two widely different and vairable speed requirements?

3. There appears to be a lot of weight on the rear wheels. Will that weight tend to chew up turf?

4. How much running time do you expect those three batteries will provide?

Yes it will have a wider turing circle how much not sure

Yes her backing it up should be easy because she will nolonger have to reach back to get in the gear in revese it will have a push button Forward-Neutral-Reverse makeing it have 5 Forward speeds and 5 Reverse speed.
The same motor is used to power both the wheels and blade
this is done the same way that one engine control both
the drive disk turn the drive wheel and has a belt that hooks to it also see snapper parts book to see.
There is 220 pounds of batterys on it that the reason I added the exter axle that should keep it from digging down.
It should run for 3 to 4 hours same as a golf car where i got the parts out of.

I have some very serious questions about your set up. A standard Snapper sometimes has a problem turning at operating speed because of light weight on FRONT wheels. Adding 220 lbs AND tandem wheels to the rear seems to me to compound this problem considerably.

I can raise the front end up on my 12.5 hp snapper with out any problem but I can not lift this one at all had to get a jack to raise the front end high enouth to put it on a block to installed the deck. I am going to start on the wiring sunday. but it be a week or two before my freind can machine the input shaft and plate for me he not charging me so I will have to wait theb we see how she runs
I put the rear body on and installed batteries put speed controller in place. did a fit up test with the little old lady. Soon to start on the wiring I updated the webpage with new pics

I certainly can understand that because the extra length and leverage caused by tandem wheels BUT how much weight is that arrangement actually putting down on the front wheels. Lifting and actually having ground traction are two different things. Hope that lawn is pretty level.

yes it flat should i have any problem I will add weight to the front maybe 100 lb will bolt right to the front end
I have another rinding move and a few push ones this is just a thing I wanted to try abd i had the old wreak golf car and bouth 4 snapper dor 100 bucks so for I got $123 into it will be done for under 150

Uuuhhh...your mower is gaining weight rapidly. So much so I would worry about traction and high electricity use on anything but dry flat surfaces. Previous comments about steering being way too light are on the mark. You might want to look into redistributing and reducing existing weight.

I am hopeing I can do that, anyways the back battery is back there because I am not sure how much room it going to take to installed moter and mounting plate if I have enough room
I will move it up and put it right behine the rear seat
that 75 pounds right there I got to make sure I stay on the deck the cover is very light ether that or go back and support it

I updated the website finished the wiring the unit did not have time to go get another snapper hoping to go saturday to start on a short version one

Well rigg up a support today for the moter did not work very well but it did let me run around the yard eveyone on here was right it trun way worst then i figer it would do. We park it in back till we can think about it awhile
pick up another unit we will make a short one and work on moter plate
will post when we get stated on it maybe next weekend
it still cute hope I can figher a way to save it
