Glass on top of sliding door

I'm designing my house and is facing a dilemma: I have a room facing the entry (we'll currently use it as an office but might turn into a 3rd bedroom in the future). If I use this idea of putting glass on top of the sliding door for light to infiltrate the entry, isn't it hard to clean? I'm just considering the post work. Any other suggestions?

    Glass up that high is a little harder to clean, but it also is high enough that it doesn't get a lot of handprints, dog noses or other contact that makes it need cleaning as often as a window lower in the wall.

    I think you can probably clean it with an extension tool pretty easily.

    A step ladder or extending squeegie would work just fine. You only really get dust up there, because no one will be in physical contact with the surface. If you don't need a sound barrier, you could use open shelving or a lattice-like frame structure that could add some visual interest.
