Hi all - here's my dilemma. I'm designing our new lounge, a front room with bay windows (1930s british semi) and chimney breast and alcoves on both sides.

Let's face it, the TV is not going to disappear anywhere so might as well embrace it in the design of the room. I've searched endlessly for ideas where the TV sits right above the fireplace but most of the designs are not as slick as I expect them to be. Most of what I found generally sit way too high for an acceptable level of viewing for a room that is 11" by 13" 2'.

My ideal would be a contemporary fireplace such as the X-Fire Frameless 1000 [1] that sits around 9 or 10 inches over the floor, and then a similar spacing between the fireplace and the tv itself (which would match the width of the fireplace). The TV will be placed in an inset with a mount so that it can be adjusted for a slight tilt. Very similar to the second image attached, but lower to the ground (provided that the appropriate hearths and heat dissipation material is installed). Has anyone achieved such a look? Any comments?
