Container potatoes has always bugged me.

Unless you have access to very cheap or free soil that drains well (important) you're going to have some very expensive potatoes. It's rather easy to dump 20+ gallons of soil into a potato tower to make it work.

Around here you can get a 10lb bag of organic potatoes for $5-$7 rather easily during harvest time...$3-$4 for 10lb conventional. It gets even cheaper in production areas (especially in the West/South-West/Mid-West) where I've seen 10lb bags of organic going for $3-$4 and conventional going for $2-$3 during harvest season.

It's been a very popular thing on the internet the past 2-3 years, though. My wife uses a gardening Pinterest thing and it's on there a lot.

I would think, nc, that one would read the article, or one of the many others available, to get a grasp of the concept before writing something so critical. It does help to have some idea what you are talking about.
