need help with color of appliances

I have rubbed bronze hardware as well as kitchen tap plus a chocolate brown granite and resin sink, the appliances were not changed out in this makeover because I was not sure that the SS would look okay with all the bronze, suggestions would be appreciated.

I would have the appliances custom painted.the same color as the cabinetry. That will create continuity and harmoney. Good luck!

Agree completely that stainless will go with everything.

My Cabinets are the same shade as yours and SS looks great! I would not be concerned with ORB hardware, together they will compliment each other. I wish I had picked ORB hardware myself :). I would consider, if you no longer have white appliances, the window trim next to the mixer. Perhaps you could bring a drawer front or cabinet door in to have paint matched to your cabinetry. I think that would look really nice and would make the window really blend in and allow the cabinets to shine and the lovely red accent pieces next to it will pop more rather than compete with the window. I love the backsplash tiles you have chosen, we are still trying to decide on ours.

The dark colors pull your eyes to them. If you want a more spacious looking kitchen, then I agree with michigammemom. In fact, she took the words right out of my mouth when she said to look at how your stainless coffee maker looks right at home. You already have the dark "touches" of accent. I'd definitely go with stainless appliances. One option is to look at GE Profile. They are stainless, but have enough black on them to fit right in with your kitchen. Here is a picture of the kitchen we recently remodeled. We went with stainless appliances and hardware because we wanted our kitchen to look more spacious. But notice how nicely the black in the stove and microwave anchor the space. Enjoy your new kitchen!!

Agree that stainless steel is the way to go for this kitchen, though I love the idea of having them custom painted, but I would go with a pop of colour like red, since that's the accent colour already anyway. It would give a retro feel! Unfortunately, you may grow tired of the colour before the appliances reach the end of their life, so SS is safest.

Definitely go with Stainless Steel....the bronze fixtures will coordinate with them nicely. The white appliances make the cabinets look cheap.

Definitely stainless steel, it will go well with your mixer and other accessories and won't compete with your ORB. I have white cabinets and stainless appliances (my pulls are brushed nickel, but all my door handles and hinges are ORB). I wouldn't do all black appliances in your kitchen; I think it would be too busy and contrasty, and detract from the cabinetry. If possible, you could do "cabinet" fronts on the dishwasher and refrigerator and if you like black, do a black stove.

Please please stainless. Mixing metals (especially stainless steel which is a neutral like others have said) is more then a-o-k

I would highly recommend copper with minimal design. It will come together with the color of the top and darker floor.

The first think I looked at in the second picture was the coffee maker which happens to be stainless... It looks fabulous! SS it is

I have been doing kitchen design for many years and I'd like to comment on your design dilemma. I see that you have full overlay cabinet doors, which work well on panels for appliances. My suggestion would be to get a matching panel for the dishwasher to help it blend into the cabinet run (if you know the color, door style and manufacturer of your existing cabinets.) The photos don't show your refrigerator, but for a small kitchen, I would recommend getting the same panels to cover it, as well. Covering these appliances with panels, especially in a smaller kitchen, will help to minimize the clutter, thereby making the room feel larger. The range is a different story. Depending on your budget and your cooking habits, there are a "range" (pun intended) of options to consider. There are some really beautiful European ranges in varying colors, such as red, blue, etc, that could add a great focal point to this room. The issue with these is that they tend to be larger that what I am assuming is your existing 30" space. Also, these ranges are usually gas and require a high-BTU (600 or higher) exhaust fan that will require a 10" duct system. These are all things to think about. If you want to keep your electric, (assuming) 30" wide range and microwave, I would go with stainless, as it's moderately inexpensive and fairly timeless. Even in the higher-end homes, you will see stainless appliances mixed with oil-rubbed bronze fixtures and hardware. I hope this helps!

As one with an eye for design and style, I suggest SS as well!

I'm not normally a stainless fan, but I think it would be beautiful in your kitchen.

Stainless is the best choice, it will look wonderful against your white cabinets and contrast nicely with your rubbed bronze hardware.

Thank you all for your advice I guess stainless it is. Some of you thought the cabinets were white when they are actually taupe and depending on the time of day they can look grey which is fine as the granite has taupe and grey in it.

I found this article right here in houzz, is about mixing different metals finishes https://www.houzz.com/magazine/how-to-mix-metal-finishes-in-the-kitchen-stsetivw-vs~3222120

I knew that your cabinets were a shade of taupe, and thought a paint color to match the cabinets would look elegant. Another option that would be cheaper than stainless steel (which I think is an overated trend) are wood panels over the appliances painted the taupe color. Again, it provides continuity without the "here are my shiny steel appliances look." Sorry, I am not a fan of stainless steel.
