Hi, I have two types of Violets that I am trying to confirm IDs on.

Here is the first type which I think from doing a little research is Lance-leaved Viola (Viola Lanceolata).

{{gwi:281968}}

Now the this second one looks like V. sagittata or fimbrialuta (Sand Violet). What do experts here think?

{{gwi:281969}}

{{gwi:281970}}

I wanted to get specific IDs on these to satisfy my curiosity and also because I wanted to have violets that the Fritillary butterfly prefers in an area where I stopped mowing, and these two have volunteered themselves.

These violets seem to be preferred host plants (if they are indeed what I think they are), which explains why we have so many Fritillariess in the area.

Thank you for helping!
