Forgot to ask, Will this small pond work? just for small fish and frogs.no koi just small goldfish.

I've got one like that, and it works great, although I've not had much luck with lilies.
I wintered it last year for the first time, and the only problem I had was water freezing on the upper pond where the falls spills in. When the layer of ice covered the whole upper pone, the water from the falls just flowed off and gradually emptied the pond. I didn't use a heater, but this year I'm going to try a horse trough heater in the lower pond to see if I can keep things flowing properly.
