Love the accessories, but the walls don't speak for them. You need some real color on the walls so that the whole room doesn't blend into the floor, etc. What about aqua on one of the walls? And a nice rug w/ lots of aqua on it can solve the problem of a boring tile floor. Do you have any windows? If so, are they on the short wall opposite the one shown w/ the heart looking painting on it? If they are, aqua drapes would be really nice on them b/c if you painting the short wall (w/ the "heart" art on it) aqua, it would look as if they were mirroring the wall and would draw the eye to the ends of the room and make it look bigger. Also, if you are going for a more modern, sophisticated look, i really don't think the "heart" artwork links w/ the elegant lines in the centerpeice, etc. It distracts the eye and looks a bit out of place. Will add more comments as more ideas come to me.

Hi, mdediaz. Your tastes seem to lean towards the eclectic - with your rustic table, contemporary art and traditional side board. I'd keep working in that direction. I do think the room needs some bottom. Consider painting the wall the art work is on a rich chocolate. It'll really make the art sing.



For seating, I like the idea of two traditional velvet chartreuse upholstered benches and two contemporary ivory leather chairs at either end of the table. The green benches will pull out the color in your art work. Currently it isn't repeated anywhere in the room. It's such a fresh color and will look great with the chocolate and aqua. A simple sisal area rug will define the area and break up some of the tile, as well as add another texture.

I think the centerpiece is a bit high for the table. Consider putting it where the Buddha is and joining the Buddha with the glass vases on the other side. The low aqua bowl on the table might work better.

Love the eclectic detail of your dining table! The luxurious tufting and and curved lines of this dining chair would be perfect for your room.
