Sad little Southern Cricket Frog

Along with the water lilies I ordered in April I received a tiny little Southern Cricket Frog. He is so cute with the green stripe down his warty little back and on his head. He sings his little heart out every night. A very loud clacking sound. The sad thing is that there are no girls for him here. From what I have been able to figure out we may have Northern Cricket frogs in our area but I have never heard or seen them. I can't find anything that says they will interbreed. I guess we will just enjoy watching him this summer and hope he makes it next year.

Awww, how sweet...what a gift! Perhaps his solitary love song will draw a mate unto Himself. Mutiplication. Keep an eye out for tadpoles...

I'm sooo happy!! While weeding I discovered a tiny little southern cricket frog. A baby from the male that came with the lilies. I guess he found a mate last summer. I look forward to many nights of clack clacking this summer.

Oh I don't know I was up all night the last 2 nights these 2 frogs in my pond below my bedroom window just singing ,I yelled out just stop singing and do it geeze.
