white flex is ok, as long as it is not exposed.you should get the pipe with the smooth outside, not the ripple out side.this way you could glue fittings together.if you use the ripple pipe you have to use pipe barbs that go in side the pipe to make any connections.there is nothing worse than white pipe in side the pond.good luck joe

thanks for the info Joe. I'm pretty sure the stuff i'm looking at will work as the description says it can be used with schedule 40 fittings. I had no idea there was other types of flex pvc that required pipe barbs! Hope I'm looking at the right stuff

jenny, that is the right pipe.the other pipe i was talking about,is the second pipe listed in your link.you clean and glue both sides of the pipe as you would schedule 40.
