Hey, Tabber, thanks for posting the photos. I really enjoyed them and they are giving me courage.

Forgive this left-handed compliment, but I've been hesitant to use a mortared border because I've had a notion I couldn't make it "perfect" enough. You've done a great job and now I see it I realize that if I could make it as "perfect" as I have envisioned it the thing wouldn't look good. These Belgian block as so varied and that variation is part of their beauty.

I have to wait of cooler weather any way, so I'll be rethinking my project. Many, many thanks. Keep us posted!

Spent the last two Saturday's laying the flagstone down. Spent the first day laying the screenings material and tamping it down along with laying the stones down in the walkway. We only had maybe 5 feet of walkway finished at the end of the first day. We did have just about the entire walkway jigsaw puzzle put together but it was just laying there and not leveled out. Yesterday my one brother put the flagstone jigsaw puzzle together for the air conditioner/trash can/ hose reel area while my other brother and I worked on the front walkway. I had a couple hours left this morning, but as you can see by the pictures it is complete. All that is left is to let it settle for a few weeks and then I'll put the little pea gravel in between the joints.
