Repairing a bluestone plaque?

Can anyone provide suggestions for repairing an inscribed bluestone plaque, about 24x11 and 3/4 in. thick? Inscribed with a haiku, it was sitting out by my koi pond, was toppled over in a wind storm and the top approximately 1/3 broke neatly off.

I'm not sure whether to attempt repair myself (haven't the slightest idea what type of adhesive to use) or just take it to a professional.

Looking at it again, I see there's been just a tiny bit of erosion of the cracked edge, but enough that some type of filler may be needed to make the break less conspicuous.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions/advice.

Diane
