Virginia Creeper. A beautiful native plant!

And don't worry-VC is not poisonous, as in Poison Ivy, as some think, and it will not harm your tree. Beautiful fall foliage and berries for the wildlife. VC. (Parthenocissus quinquefolia(five foliaged)) is closely related to Boston Ivy (Parthenocissus tricuspidata).

Yep and under appreciated in more informal settings. Great cover and protection for birds and grand autumn shades or red or purple.

native or not... it can be a real problem in a suburban setting ... as in seeding and covering an acre.. including the house and garage ... lol ...

a very nice plant.. in someone elses yard... lol ...

but?? ... if thats what you want... all the power to you .... most of us.. end up regretting such an idea a few years later .... [as in.. boy that chameleon plant is cool (Houttuynia cordata) .... i can control it... sure you can ....

i suspect OP just like the red contrast ...
