You have posted this in about 3 or 4 places. You just need to post this in one place and someone will be glad to help you. Without more information, I am unable to help. Pictures, type, contruction, gas plumber check, etc... are needed to help with this type of problem.

You say nothing about the type of air intake or outtake you have, type of heater, smells, type of gas, BTU rating, etc...

Also, please dont tell other people that their plants will die and the leaves will fall off while using a ventfree heater. This is false information and we at the Greenhouse Forum, try our hardest to keep the information as true and postive as possible. I have worked years and years at trying to get people to try ventfree heating, and most have done so with GREAT success. False statements spread faster than true statements and its hard enough as it is.

Just because your plants died, doesnt mean all ventfree heaters are killers. This is where I get pissed off!

OD, he didn't say that his plants died, just that he has "bud blast." In orchid-speak, is that the same thing?

Tom, pardon OD, but he is passionate about his heaters! I agree with OD on a couple of things...first, someone will generally answer, you don't have to post in multiple threads. Second, we need the additional information Orchiddude mentions above.

I personally may not be able to help much (I have vented heaters) but there are plenty of people here successfully using vent-free heaters and I suspect someone will have some ideas for you.

BTW, OD is passionate about his fogger, too!

LOL...thanks streesbaby... I am passionate about gas heaters and foggers. I have been trying to keep my mouth shut on both subjects. Bud-blast in orchid talk is where the flower bud dies before opening. Usually some environmental problem is the cause. Most of the time its a temperature related problem.

    stressbaby,

How many times must we tell you to check the FAQ before asking questions such as ""In orchid-speak, is that the same thing?""

    :)

Oh dear, it seems this bud blast can be caused by several things.

    tomd63,

We need to know what heater you have.

Here is a link that might be useful: FAQ for stressbaby ;)

    Chris, you funny!

"Oh dear, it seems this bud blast can be caused by several things."

ROTFLMAO, I read the FAQ, and I'm not going to go there!

Hey, who volunteered to write that heater FAQ, anyway?

    My GOD! not me! LOL

    stressbaby,

Hey didn't I offer to write the solar heater FAQ? I forget....

Seriously (as it is only 7:30pm and I have only just started on the fridge) Forget the ethylene thing.

If tomd63 has an infra red type heater we may have a fix.

If he has a blue flame then I am at a loss, apart from the obvious. (um, needs an air intake and a small vent high up on the opposite wall)

Yeah Chris...you can do the Solar FAQ...you'll be good with that one. :-)

Are you cleaning out the fridge?
