Get your business sense in order. That has to be more important than plant product or savy (hopefully your knowledgeable and already have vendors). It's the paper work that can kill a business.

Some of the biggest (most hurtfull) mistakes that have been made is hiring friends, followed by becoming friends with your employees. Ther are more sad stories, then good about how friends/employees have used, manipulated, and robbed the owner blind! Being a kind boss is great, just make it clear that you mean business at all times.
