I bought a 1/2hp Craftsman GDO (model 139.53985DM) and tried installing it myself. This has been one of the most frustrating experiences I have ever had.

After working through quite a few problems (some solved by previous posts in this forum) I am down to this.

I had everything adjusted where I wanted it (chain, trolley etc). I tested the motor without having the door engaged. It ran fine but didn't go all the way up (it had previously only wanted to go down, but that problem was solved). So I adjusted the Up Limit Adjustment about 1 turn and tried it again. It travelled up about 2 feet and stopped. I hit the button again and it returned to the stop point. All was well. Then I hit the button again and the motor just gave a single click. Now this is all it does. I noticed no lights flashing when I push the button on the wall unit. But if I use a remote (which I have not programmed) the unit clicks and the light flashes 3 times.

If anyone can help, I would greatly appreciate it.
