Extended Storage

Looking for opinions on extended storage of Stihl FS trimmer and two stroke saws etc. Like several years. Would you put some extra treatment in the mix (use Stihl Ultra oil), run it out and fog it? Or drain it complete, pull the carb apart clean it? Better idea?

IMO run it out of gas remove the plug and a few drops of oil in the cylinder and pull the rope, take you pick I use MMO. Had My Lombard little lighting in storage for 12 years once and 10 years another time. It still runs and it's 37 years old.

As rcmoser said.Problem you might have is the plastic tubing may crack and get brittle from setting around.
