Sears Line trimmer with No Hassel 3 head

Hello everyone. I have one of these Sears line trimmers and I personally hate the no hassel 3 head. It consumes the line very fast and then you need to replace it several times during the trimming. In the end you have to throw away about 6 inches of line. I have searched to see if there is a kit I can purchase to remove this no hassel head and go back to the bump head trimmer line? If anyone has any info, on a ki let me know which one I can use. Thanks

A lot of Craftsman trimmer are made by MTD that make Troybilt, Bolen etc. I have the Troybilt 4 cycle trimmer which looked exactly like one of the Craftsman 4 cycles. You might want to go to Lowes with your trimmer and compare and try to match a head.

That said, I bought just the bump and it cost $10. You might end up paying more than $30 for the new head. Is it worth your while to do this on an old trimmer that is not expensive to start out? You can get another one for about $100 to $120 and use yours as backup.

I have much bettter trimmers now, The head of those Craftsman and Troybilt can not compare. YOu might consider paying a little more for a better brand trimmer.
