First, I wish to make it clear that I am not connected in any way to Stihl, nor am I a "fanboy" who refuses to look at any other saw as I also have a Craftsman 42cc with a 14 Grippo bar, which I use as a backup.

I put the "wee" Stihl through its paces yesterday, and was blown away by it's ability to get through some fairly big (13-16") trees. This little beast punches way above it's weight. I had bought it to clear the small stuff 8" and below, but I decided instead of switching saws I would slowly work up. Impressive indeed. The reason I picked the saw, was because the arborist we use to take down the tricky big trees (homey don't climb) uses one ...the T model, and he tackles stuff that would ruin other saws. Just my two cents worth.

The 192 wieghs 6.6lbs dry..easy on the arms and wrists for all day work, and no discernable vibration. Uses a 5/32 file, two year warranty, local dealer. Other saws I looked at; Echo, Husky...in the end it was all about the weight, all the rest was gravy.
