Hello,

I have been working on this room a very long time. This is my dining room, but it doubles as a office for my home-based business. During the week it transforms to a full-blown working space with laptop computers and tons of paperwork everywhere. I posted it a while back asking for some suggestions on rugs and I really appreciate all of the input I received. Initially, I was thinking to use a zebra rug under the table because of the zebra chairs I have in the living adjacent to it. In the end, I passed on the zebra rug and went for a cowhide that has black & white spots that, in some way, mimicked the zebra chair colors. Felt using a zebra rug in here would feel like "zebra overload". I am now done with the room, but I am just not sure how I am feeling about it. Maybe the two jars on the table are too large (?). The table is only 60" long. The room is small (12' L x 10' W) and I have a lot packed into it because it is also an office space; the armoire has office supplies inside, the long black filing cabinet under the window is packed with the files and some supplies as well. I don't accessorize the file cabinet because I don't want to draw attention to it, but maybe I should (?). The artwork is my own except for the two sketches on the left of the armoire that I found in the thrift store; already framed in those beautiful gold frames and sketched in 1964. With my pieces, I was trying to inject color. I love colorful design but always seem to decorate using very neutral, safe colors, so I add artwork with color.

I recently changed two abaca chairs to these linen nailhead ones. The abaca chairs felt too casual (they really belonged to my kitchen). Anyhow, any comments or suggestions are great appreciated. I tried to upload pics from all angles, but the room is so small that it is difficult to get the good shots.
