Your beautiful new home deserves to have lush landscaping to match the house's good looks. Please talk to a landscape architect or designer. Ask to see pictures of their work. If you like what they've done for other people, ask for their help in designing and installing new landscaping. That will make the single biggest change in your home's appearance. You can expect sticker shock. But realize that if you like yard work, you can do a lot of it yourself as long as you have the professional draw the plan and you follow it.

The colors are pretty easy. Your roof appears to me to be a brownish gray, so it's to that part of the paint deck I would go for paint colors. First lets look at those things on the corners of your new home. They are called quoins (beloved by Scrabble players and crossword puzzle fans) and if they are stone, leave them as is. Sherwin-Williams SW7015 Repose Gray (a very light gray/taupe) will go on your trim that is now white. The body of the house will be SW7017 Dorian Gray, a medium gray/taupe and your front door area and shutters will be one of my favorite colors, SW 7020 Black Fox, a black with a bit of brown in it. Of course I expect you to take these colors really as suggestions only. You should buy sample jars of these colors and paint them on poster board. Tape them up and see what you think.
