That is one of the stranger pics I've seen.

Thanks for sharing!

Lol.

Trees also move faster than humans and capture their fences frequently

10/10 pic

Many people would pay to have something that interesting in their landscape...

Horst, there's something vaguely obscene about that picture!

I thought Crepe Myrtles were small diminutive trees. I guess not in the warmer climes. That is an interesting pic!

Here they are shrubs. Get frozen back every few years, got nailed a few years back and had to start again. Ornamental trees in the south, ya'll lucky devils. Few prettier than a crapemyrtle for mega summer bloom. However, they need iron...

Too much Mardi Gras!

Haha! The tree said to itself..."If they won't stake me I'll stake myself"

Here is a link that might be useful: link

ken, I told ya they needed plenty of iron! I noticed the same crapemyrtle in one of those pix. My pic was from spring 2004, pre-Katrina. May not be there now...

That's the biggest crepe myrtle I have ever seen, even being in FL! And the most inresting. Trust me, those things get really boring after seeing them along EVERY highway down here and the pruning and the ugly and messy berries...

I see a lot of trees that have grown this way in fence rows (especially Juniperus virginiana). I've never seen a crApe myrtle do this, but I also don't ever remember seeing one in a fence row. Mostly they're planted as accent specimens in flower beds or singly out in yards. I've seen "cedar trees" with amazing amounts of distortion because of their entanglement with barbwire.
