HFGH - Swinging Door?

We raised our HFGH so it is on top of treated 4X4s which are on top of cinder blocks. I would like to replace the sliding door with a swinging door that goes all the way to the ground so we can roll things in and out.

Anybody made this conversion? If so, have some handy plans or good tips on how to do it?

heya Steve;

I considered this modification when building and planning mine. I was going to replace the door with a standard storm door. However the standard doors are usually too wide for the opening, so I settled for the door as is.

I do not have a HF but I would think you could lower the frame and guide bar down to the ground and fill in the top part with lexan or polycarbonate.
You may have to buy some metal strips at HD to make a new frame.
We lowered the door on my greenhouse and put lexan at the top. See My Page.

I have a long weekend coming up during which I may tackle this. (Working at refacing a stucco fence/wall right now.)
Just got my heater, vent opener and Durostat thermostat for the HFGH from Farmtek so lots of projects going!
